Hello "sanmarco,"

I’m emailing you a link to download the C&C 27 owner's manual.
There’s plenty of information on the website, including over 20 years of posts about the boat. If you search carefully, you’ll find answers to many of your questions.

It would be interesting to know how your C&C 27 made its way to the Adriatic or whether it was built there. There’s also a discussion about that on the website.

Welcome!
Pablo

Hello,

The web server provider changed something in the configuration, and the website's email stopped working. I have been trying to fix it for a few days without success.

I will update the community with a post when the email problem is finally resolved.

Regards,
Pablo

Hello everyone,

We have been dealing with some technical issues due to a software/security update performed by our web server provider.
The forum is now re-established. However, we lost a user ("Grammapeach") who will need to create a new account and the last few posts.
I hope you continue finding the site useful.
Enjoy

yes, the email of the association sometimes does this kind of things (Anti-spam filters too strict). I sent you the manual by email. Let me know if you have any problem receiving it.

Enjoy

Hello,

Congratulation about your new C&C 27!

I was looking into that. I saw in an old post that in the past, they provided you with a CD with the manuals when you became a member of the association. Currently there is no such thing as an association membership (http://www.cc27association.com/about.html). I do not have such CD, if I could get access to it, I would be happy to make it public.

Just by chance, today, the manual of the MkV was uploaded to the Facebook group of MkV owners:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/MKVowne … 730188634/

It looks like in the past some manuals of instruction were available on http://www.cncphotoalbum.com/, but now the link ( http://snghost.com/cncstore/chandlery/c … p?cPath=25 ) is not working. You can ask about that in the cnc-lists https://cnc-list.com/empathy/list/cnc-list.cnc-list.com

I will try to look for it too. However, in this forum, you will find most of the questions that you would like to check in the manual. I have had my MkV for 13 years and until today, I did not know that an owner's manual existed.

Kind regards,

Pablo

Thank you for the acknowledgements. Seeing people using the forum is my reward. After installing a good filter for spambot, the maintenance of the forum is being very easy.

The secretary of the association is Jim Wente. The instructions for membership payment are in: http://www.cc27association.com/member.html . I will ask Jim to post something confirming the current status of the information in that link.
I will be happy to add more boats in http://www.cc27association.com/fleet/fleet.html
Thanks
Pablo

#15 Re: General discussion » Site to shut down very soon » 2021-01-26 06:15:09

I posted an announcement that this site would probably disappear soon in May 2017. This post also asked for suggestions if anyone cared to maintain it. One taker, who was initially enthusiastic, but who then disappeared. Fast forward to this Christmas and we found that the site was getting about a dozen clicks (not visitors, clicks) a month -- in other words, nothing.

The thing that scares everyone off is the Forum -- that's the real value of the site, as it not only provides a rapid response to pressing questions but a steady supply of ideas for Black Arts (think I think up all that stuff by myself? unh, unh).

There's also the issue of the name registration, which is too Byzantine to explain here. But when it expires, the site will disappear.

Sorry.

This site will disappear in two or three weeks thanks to the expiry of its name registration. If you are interested in any part of the contents of the site, you should copy it asap. You can copy individual pages or you can search for an application that will copy a whole site in a couple of clicks. If you need help, ask a friend (or a friend's kid -- he or she will know what to do. Don't ask me -- I long ago forgot how to do this.

Good-bye and thanks for all the fish.

1981 Yanmar 2GM Crankshaft

I need help locating a source for a replacement crankshaft for the 1981 Yanmar 2GM diesel engine in my 1981 C&C 27, MK IV (#915). Any suggestions on possible sources where I can find that Yanmar part?

In 2018 I had the engine completely rebuild will all new parts except the block and crankshaft so everything else is in near new condition. Hoping to find a crankshaft for $500 USD (just incase you have a spare one lying around).

If you can help, please drop me an email or give me a call. Contact info below.

Hello! My name is John, and last year after a ton of research I picked up carelia (hull 617). I’ve searched the forum as well as a general google search and I seen that one guy went over to Ireland and someone has crossed over to the Bahamas. I was trying to find out if I’d need to do any modifications before heading from the west coast. (Victoria) over to Hawaii.

Thank you,

1985 C&C 27 Mark V  - $9995 or best offer

This is a very clean and well-equipped C&C 27 Mark V. $15,000 in recent upgrades!  Ready to go. Contact John at jazzyachts@aol.com

979 of the Mark I through Mark IV C&C 27's were built. The 1985 C&C 27 Mark V was a complete reboot by C&C, faster and with updated styling. The Mark V was designed for the MORC rule and to this day acquits itself admirably on the race course.

C&C's have always been built with care and "Blue" is an excellent example. This is the 33rd C&C 27 Mark V hull built at the Middleton, Rhode Island yard. Construction is light but rugged, and the gelcoat remains glossy.

"Blue" is fast and fun to sail, with an ergonomic cockpit and sail controls. Upgraded gear and fittings are of the highest quality, while the rebuilt Yanmar diesel is the most reliable "iron jib" available. The boat has always been maintained by knowledgeable owners. Almost everything mechanical is new. Step aboard and sail away.

"Blue" was raced most of her life but the current owner undertook a comprehensive and costly refit aimed at creating a speedy yet easy-to-sail family cruiser. Meanwhile, the family has elected to buy a larger boat. Thus "Blue" is priced to sell! She's ready for Chesapeake cruising, or swap out the roller furling for the included luff foil and start mopping up PHRF trophies.

Below you'll find a galley with a deep icebox, a quarter-berth, settees, a brand-new Jabsco head in a curtained compartment, and a spacious V-berth. Access to the engine is unusually convenient.

The dacron mainsail, composite #1 racing jib, dacron #3 racing jib, and spinnaker are all newer. The roller furling genoa is brand new and features a foam luff insert for the highest performance.

The boat is on the hard at Lippincott Marine in Grasonville, MD.

Here's a list of recent upgrades:

2013:

Engine-out rebuild of the Yanmar 1GM10, including new mounts. Less than 15 hours on the rebuild.
2014:

New Harken self-tailing jib sheet winches
New Spinlock rope clutches; all lines led aft.
New Raymarine Tiller Pilot
New custom cockpit cushions by Bottomsiders
New Jabsco marine head and plumbing
2015:

Bottom sand-blasted and epoxy barrier coat applied. (No blisters found.)
New Harken Roller Furling
New Haarstick cruising genoa
New Forespar aluminum line-control whisker pole
New canvas cockpit dodger and frame by Genco Marine
2016:

New stuffing box
