1985 C&C 27 Mark V - $9995 or best offer
This is a very clean and well-equipped C&C 27 Mark V. $15,000 in recent upgrades! Ready to go. Contact John at jazzyachts@aol.com
979 of the Mark I through Mark IV C&C 27's were built. The 1985 C&C 27 Mark V was a complete reboot by C&C, faster and with updated styling. The Mark V was designed for the MORC rule and to this day acquits itself admirably on the race course.
C&C's have always been built with care and "Blue" is an excellent example. This is the 33rd C&C 27 Mark V hull built at the Middleton, Rhode Island yard. Construction is light but rugged, and the gelcoat remains glossy.
"Blue" is fast and fun to sail, with an ergonomic cockpit and sail controls. Upgraded gear and fittings are of the highest quality, while the rebuilt Yanmar diesel is the most reliable "iron jib" available. The boat has always been maintained by knowledgeable owners. Almost everything mechanical is new. Step aboard and sail away.
"Blue" was raced most of her life but the current owner undertook a comprehensive and costly refit aimed at creating a speedy yet easy-to-sail family cruiser. Meanwhile, the family has elected to buy a larger boat. Thus "Blue" is priced to sell! She's ready for Chesapeake cruising, or swap out the roller furling for the included luff foil and start mopping up PHRF trophies.
Below you'll find a galley with a deep icebox, a quarter-berth, settees, a brand-new Jabsco head in a curtained compartment, and a spacious V-berth. Access to the engine is unusually convenient.
The dacron mainsail, composite #1 racing jib, dacron #3 racing jib, and spinnaker are all newer. The roller furling genoa is brand new and features a foam luff insert for the highest performance.
The boat is on the hard at Lippincott Marine in Grasonville, MD.
