Towser's inboard end

Towser's outhaul control line exits the boom via an exit block on the underside.
Another option for this type of boom would be to install a sheave in the gooseneck casting and lead the outhaul wire down and out of the boom between the sides of the casting, with an adjusting tackle in the space between the boom and the mast base.
