Youngstown Level Regatta

Anyone interested in racing at the Youngston Level Regatta July 28th & 29th should go to  http://www.yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eID=600 for registration and pre-entry Customs forms.
Still the largest regatta on the lake and for sure the best party ! Five wrist bands are included again with your registration along with some of those famous red Mount Gay hats! Those not wanting to enter the U.S. can stay at Nolsc. Your race packets will be picked up and delivered to you on Sat. morning if you let me know at larrybayer52@gmail.com. We'll most likely be racing in a narrow Phrf division. The 29's have their own start, what about all the 27's out there?

Re: Youngstown Level Regatta

I bought a C&C 27 this year and am bringing it to Levels. This makes a fleet of two. I was looking forward to fleet at Levels to help me learn how to sail it. The regatta has updated it's plans, see note from Don Finkle below - so even one more boat will keep the level racing alive.

Additional Prizes:  In some handicap divisions there may be multiple boats of the same design, yet not enough to comprise a one design fleet.  In those instances we will have additional prizes for those boats as if they were racing one design against one another, so long as we have a minimum of three boats of that design.

Re: Youngstown Level Regatta

Yes Matt, I saw your registration and that's why I posted. Hopefully we can get a couple more so that we're racing within the Phrf Fleet. Most likely be lumped in with the Redwing 30 and a couple of Catalina 30's. The Redwing is well sailed , I don't know about the Catalina's, if it blows they'll be pretty competitive as their much heavier than us. The Redwing has rated almost equal to us over the years so he'll be a handful!I used to have an equal rating with him, but now I'm 186 and he's 190. What's your rating?
Be looking forward to seeing you there! Good luck!!

Re: Youngstown Level Regatta

Hi Larry,
My club phrf rep. has me down for a 201 which I think is off. I was expecting something in the 180's so I am trying to get it sorted out.
It may look like I have a MkIV from my sail number at Levels (916) but it because I picked up a used main off a boat here in the States.  Looking forward to the adventure, see you this weekend.

Re: Youngstown Level Regatta

Hi Larry.

I was on renaissance.  We didn't come down at the last minute because the boat when hauled for a scrub, was found to have an electrical leak and it was eroding the prop and shaft. Not good.
Try again next year.  If you ever need crew, let me know. Christine

C'mn Christine

Quit lurking behind Renaissance' rotting prop shaft, round up your buddies and come play at EYC with the Fox. Good racing, a fun bbq and in my experience one of the better regattas on the lake.
