Standing Headroom MKV

I just stepped off a MKV. I was very dissappointed to discover there isn't standing headroom for a 5'9" person.  All the literature I've read on the boat states that it has 6'1".

Am I missing something here? Where did the other 4 inches go?

Re: Standing Headroom MKV

I'm sorry you are disappointed.  Everything I have ever read says 5'10" for a Mk V.  And that is what mine is.  It does get down to about 5'8" at the front of the salon, but is easily 5'10" at the rear - I am that height, and can easilly stand full height at the rear and at the galley.  True, 2 more inches would be great.  But so would 2 more feet in length.  Its called 2 foot itis.  With any 27 footer, some compromises do need to be made.  I hope you don't let that turn you off what is a great sailing and handling boat, and pretty to boot.
