I am selling MINX, my 1987 C&C27 MkV this spring as I am upgrading to a larger new boat. Therefore I have some equipment and a number of very good and fast racing sails for sale for anyone who is interested:
1 - 2010 Doyle Kevlar Composite 155% racing Genoa - asking $1700.00
2 - 2010 Doyle Square Weave Dacron racing Main - asking $1500.00
3 - 2008 Doyle Kevlar Composite 140% racing Genoa - asking $1200.00
4 - 2008 Doyle .5oz racing spinnaker - asking $800.00
This a a great opportunity to get a very good full suit of racing sails in great condition for a heavily discounted price. If you buy the full suit of racing sails then the price is reduced to $4800.00 for all four sails.
I also have other equipment from the boat such as auto-helm, windward sheeting, etc if anyone is looking for anything in particular. Just get in contact and let me know what you are looking for.
If interested, please contact me by cell at 416.937.3266 or by email greg@forgeinc.ca

Hi Greg,
Does your main have 4 full battens? Can you give leech, luff, foot?
What windward sheeting bits are you selling?

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your post.
The main is a Doyle Boston Square Weave Dacron loose footed large roach racing main with two full battens at the top and two half battens in the middle. This is the best combination for this cut of sail and it is very fast and has great sail shape in all levels of breeze.
I don't have all the mainsail measurements, but it was measured designed and built specifically for the C&C27 MkV to maximize performance and speed.
In terms of the windward sheeting, I am selling the traveler car.

Is the main still for sale and would it work on a MKll?
Please let me know. Looking for a used main sail for my MKll.

Hi,
I have a C&C27 Mark II that I race in PHRF and my spinnaker is getting very old. What are the dimensions of your spinnaker? Is it in good shape?

I just purchased the Mark V Catrina out of Port Washington, WI. I was a J24 sailor for 10yrs. I did not race the boat except for the Queen's cup which is a overnight race accross Lake Michigan which I do solo. The rest of the time is used it to cruise with. I am now 44yrs. old and am tired of crouching down below. It was time for me to find a boat that I could stand up in down below and have an inboard engine. The Mark V hit the mark. I just purchased in January and have not sailed it yet, but I'm sure I will be VERY pleased with it. It's got everything I ever wanted without having to spend more money on a bigger slip. All I need is a cradle or some jack stands.

If you want to get the seller's attention, you'll have to write to him directly as he's no longer getting the automated reply messages. His registration appears to have been deleted in our sweep of spam-sending addresses, hence he is shown as () rather than a name.
Having been deleted does not mean he was sending spam. We had something like 5,000 clearly spurious addresses in our registration database and clearing them out one-by-one was not a reasonable option (admins have other lives, too). Instead, we used a set of characteristics common to the spam-senders to select them in bulk. Inevitably, this swept up a few real addresses that people were still using but the number was small (probably fewer than 10), so the criteria used seem to be reasonable.
