I have been having trouble with the charging lamp and associated buzzer on my panel. When the engine was running they were both going off. I checked the voltage output at both alternator and battery and the batteries were being charged...(13.78V) I changed the wire from the lamp to alternator connector and all seems well..but depending on which battery is selected, I still see the lamp rather dimly lit.
I have a 1GM Yanmar engine..seems ulikely to me that it was the wire..any comments?

Hello all..
Just purchased a MkIII /80 with a Yanmar 1GM and flex-o-fold prop.
Would like to confirm gearbox ratio if someone can help so I can verify size and pitch of existing prop.
Think it is 2.62 gearbox ratio, and prop is 13x9RH 2blade standard Flexofold.
Has anyone else advice/experience on this prop?

About a century ago, Lord Rutherford once asked an advanced class if anyone could explain electricity. A student put up his hand and Rutherford pointed to him. "Um, I'm sorry, sir," said the student, "I've forgotten." "There, gentlemen," responded Rutherford, "you see the difficulty. Only God and Mr Parks here understand electricity. God isn't saying, and Mr Parks has unfortunately forgotten."
Which pretty much sums up the reason you're not getting an answer to your question - electricity is complicated. If you don't get an answer within a few days, you can be confident that even the most vain-glorious of know-it-alls among us knows too little to hazard a solution.
Double-posting the same question won't help, so your second post has been deleted.
Sorry we can't help you.
