Jack Lines

Has anyone ever rigged jacklines or clipping points?  Wondering where/how to rig such a system. Planning some long distance racing that requires this.

I have the nylon type with a clip at one end. Used the toe rail forward with the clip, and used the aft cleat for the loose end.

I'm guessing this line then runs along the toe rail? Wouldn't the genoa interfere with this then? I though a jackline had to run along the coach roof.

I run mine along the coach roof from the toerail as close to the centerline forrward as I can get.  They run along each side of the forward hatch and back to the cleats at the back of the cabin on either side of the main hatch.  Used with a 1 meter tether it woudl be hard to fall over the rail.  I have the double tether (1 meter and 2 meter) but mostly use the shorter one when going forward.

I do several solo distance races and have not had any problems with this setup.

I run flat webbing from a ring (staysail) in the center of the foredeck back to the toerail on each side. The boat came with cable but it was hard to walk on while underway. Mount a D ring in the cockpit to teather to at the helm and you are set.
