The window lens, ready for installation. Whether old or new material is being used, the plexi needs to be bevelled, roughed up and scrupulously clean for a good bond. The Sikaflex system also calls for a special cleaner and primer.

The masking tape will catch the material that will be squeezed out when the lens is pressed into position.
