boat set up

I have a MK lll.  I am looking to reach out for help in shroud settings, mast rake, and then general settings for racing.  I seem to have hit the wall, and would like to improve my results.  I am in Montreal, but a phone call away.  Thank you.  Bruce Vineberg #699

Re: boat set up

Hi Bruce,

I assume you've seen this info in Black Arts?

http://www.cc27association.com/fixes/tuning-i-iv.html

It's not new info but still a decent starting point.

It's been ten years since I sold my 27 but setup was pretty simple.  I altered things up a bit by introducing prebend into the rig using the foward lowers which allowed for a more powerful purpose-built mainsail.

Performance suffered a bit in upper wind ranges (hard to depower) but most of our sailing was light to medium anyways.

Cheers,
Tal
