I am in the process of renewing my insurance on a '76 Mk III. Got a new survey and everything checks out just great, but the rate is $450 / year. This is more than double what I paid last year. No hidden claims or accidents, just a change in brokers, as the old broker wouldn't find me coverage that allowed a Yacht Club liability limiting document. If this to much money? Who are others with, and what do you pay?
thanks
Chris
Chris,
First are you American or Canadian. I can only speak to the Canadian rates. I have a CC27MKII 1974 and my insurance is $275 plus tax with Premier Marine: "Mariner's Choice Policy". Their address is 1904 - 140 Fullarton St London, ON N6A 5P2 519-850-1610. Only exemptions are for the standard nucleur biological war periods.
Hope this helps.
