Looking at a C&C 27

A friend and I are looking at a C&C 27 on the hard that has been there for a few years. It's available at $1000 U.S. and looks pretty solid. Would like to get information on the boat or tips anyone might have. If it helps, the plate on the inside of transom has numbers 270266 73 on it, the latter number I assume is the year built. Thanks for any thoughts!

Besides all the great suggestions about buying a C&C 27 that you found on this website, you should give this one a look:

IF the deck isn't rotten, and IF you're handy, and IF you've got the time, this could be a real steal.  Otherwise, no.
