Diesel Motor in a Mk III

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has a Mk III with an original diesel or is repowered with a diesel. If original what Make/model is it and if repowered what make/model.

Thanks very much.

Re: Diesel Motor in a Mk III

Our Stardust 1980 MK III has a YSM12 the parts are still available no problem. Other than being noisy,it is very reliable. We do most of our sailling in the Northumberland strait deal with the currents and the Atlantic heavy weather (sometimes). That said the motor has shown anought power for these situations.

Thanks for the reply; I do my sailing in the Bras D'or Lakes and coastal Nova Scotia so your reply is pertinent.

Thanks
Bryan

[There has been considerable discussion of the broad issues and details of repowering over the years, from Black Arts to the Forum. In the Forum, search using "diesel" in the Subject line, then for a real cornucopia, try "diesel" in the Message line. See also here for more on using the existing resources of the site. Thank you. - Admin]
