flag halyard

my Mark V came without a flag halyard. Has any owner installed one? Looks pretty straightforward-eyestrap screwed to starboard spreader/hang a small swivel block/small cleat either at mast base or a shroud cleat on the lower?copasetic

Re: flag halyard

You don't really need a block (think of all that weight & windage!). Unless you absolutely insist on raising and lowering your burgee with blinding speed, an eyestrap that's well rounded so as not to chafe the line is sufficient.
