Anyone offer any advise to improve the peeling vinyl from the overhead access panels in the cabin of C&C 27 Mk V's. Was planning on stripping the vinyl off with a heat gun, sanding and finishing with cetol or other product. Any other ideas or related tips.
Many thanks,
Robert

On my past boat a 29-2 I removed the vinyl and glued on Formica, very durable and available in many colors if you want to match your cushions.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I ended up refinishing the former unfinished side. There was only a small bit of adhesive to contend with -- unlike the side the previously was covered with vinyl. Stained with some Teak Gel stain by Varathane and will finish coat with a clear varathane. Will affix new velcro tape the other side and they should look nice.
