C&C MK V Main Bulkhead

Hello all,
I have a question about the main bulkhead that seperates the cabin from the head area. I beleive the chainplates for the side stay's are attached to it. I know that this area has been discussed earlier in this forum, but I have a specific question that someone may be able to answer.
How is the bulkhead attached to the hull and deck and is it possible to replace it? The boat I am looking at does have some deficiencies in this area, namely some water damadge in the form of swelling and perhaps some rot on the bottom port side. It might also be seperated from the hull and deck a bit. My second question refers to repairing some cracks and lifting of the gelcoat in a small area in the outside surface if the cockpit where it meets the cabin.
I would appreciate any information that might be out there.
Thanks.
Steve.

Re: C&C MK V Main Bulkhead

I replaced the bulkhead in a C&C 25 a few years ago. I now belive it's impossible to do properly without removing the deck and using the old bulkhead as a template.  I was not satisfied with the final result, I don't think it worth the effort and will never do it again.
