Trapper 500 Pricing

From time to time I review the C&C27s and Trapper 500s on Yachtworld to look for interesting modifications and ideas. Today I noticed of the six Trapper 500s for sale the cheapest was asking $25k US. A few owners were asking over $30k US. Are used boats that much more expensive in Europe?

Re: Trapper 500 Pricing

Hi Mike. Used boats, if they're in good condition and sometimes even if they're only marginal, do tend to command high prices. Part of the problem is that new ones in many countries are subject to high Value Added Tax, which means they're really expensive and hence make older boats a better buy -- as they tend to be here too.
