I & J For MK I & IIs

Why are SPL numbers longer than the J measurement for the MK I's and II's?  Also what measurement should I use for calculating the proper spinnaker size when buying.

Thanks,

Scalliwag

Re: I & J For MK I & IIs

When I bought sails for my MK lll , I had a long talk with my sailmaker and he produced a sail plan drawing from C&C... then he came out to the boat and verified the dimensions before giving me a price...... if it does not fit then it is his problem, if you give him the dimensions then it is your problem whent he sails do not fit... the real plus is that you get a free education from the sailmaker.
