I find myself worrying about Pura Vida lately and checked to see how she fared after Rita. Any news, Mike?

Thanks for asking Fred. I visited her yesterday for the first time since the storm and can happily report that there was no damage. I had the good fortune of being in the lee of some very big houses for this storm. Some of the gelcoat is blackmarked from the tires I used as fenders but the hull needs a refinish anyway. There was some chafe on the dock where the docklines (I use chain for the first few feet) rubbed the dock. We were expecting a storm surge between 12 and 18 feet and ended up with a loss of water of almost 5 feet so she spent some time 'hanging' from her docklines. A friend who runs a boat prep service went by and adjusted the docklines for me. Overall there were a few lost biminis, torn roller furling headsails and some bunged up gelcoat but that was about all I saw at our marina.
