Has anyone ever been able to get a response from South Shore Yachts? I'm using the web address www.ccyachts.com. I have sent them emails but they have never replied. Does any one know if they prefer not to do business outside of Canada? Thanks

I think they're just dim about e-mail. I've never been able to contact them that way (most of Canada has it in for Toronto, but I can't imagine the hatred extends to Niagara-On-The Lake), but they're perfectly reasonable on the phone.
Please let us know what happens - if your experience mirrors mine, I'll make a note on the Links page that you really have to phone them if you want to contact them. [Done.]

Having had extensive dealings with SSY since last year, I've also found them difficult to reach by e-mail (they invariably are apologetic for not responding) but almost always accessible by phone (if you have to leave a message, they're quick to return the call). Once contact is made, they have been not only very reliable in shipping parts but also generous with advice. And, noting David's reply, should point out that I'm in Ottawa, which most Canadians seem to have the same regard for as Americans have for Washington. Good luck.

Thanks all,
I'll ring them during the week and follow up here with the experience if it looks like it may be beneficial to the group.

I called South Shore this morning and spoke with a wonderful lady named Helen. She confirmed that they don't get to reply to email as quickly as phone calls. To that end it may be beneficial to note that on the site.
I'll be interested to see what is in the builders file for my boat.

My apologies to the group and specifically to Larry and Bob. I noted the web address and not the email address that I was using which was service@southshore yachts.com. Thanks to David. I notice that he has changed the link page to provide adequate warning that email may go unanswered for a period. One last curious note. When I called Wednesday morning a very young lady answered and then passed the phone to her mom. South Shore had forwarded the phone to a private cell number. I could imagine someone sitting at the breakfast table with the family, half a continent away, taking my order for boat parts.
