Depth Sounder

I would like to replace my depth sound on my mark 5. I would like to mount it forward of the keel. Any suggestion of make and model. I also want to install using a water box. Boy do I need help Kenny

Forward of the keel sounds great, but is much more difficult and really does not gain you anything unless your "speed over ground" is very, very slow - like less than steerage.
As for the water-box, why?  Thru-hull transducers are very reliable and work great. No leaks, no spill, no hole in the hull! Install in minutes with a paddy of your favorite sealant/adhesive.
