Shower

Has anyone come up with a workable shower?  It is generally not a good idea to dump shower water into the bilge but I dont have a problem with that since the shower would be used infrequently.  Hot water is not an issue in this case since we are in SW florida.  Water tank temps are 80-90F in the summer and 60-70F in the winter---which is tolerable.  I would not pressurize the whole system---just the shower line.  Maybe the best solution is to anchor off a 38' !!

Re: Shower

Dave,
In my "grand scheme" that I related to you, I plan to install a fresh water pressurized hand held shower in the cockpit.  Since we anchor and swim a lot, it will be convenient there, and if necessary I can run a shower curtain around the bimini.  My wife nixed the interior shower idea, unnecessary and too much work.  If it is too cold to swim (or shower without heated water), we won't be out of the marina more than one nite anyway. Also, it will solve the problem of what to do with the old engine control area.
What do you plan for water pressure?  I am not sure which (gpm) pump I should use.  What are your thoughts?
It's 75F and I have to mow the yard and do some spring pruning before I can get back down to the marina tody!

Re: Shower

I really don't want to get into pressurizing the whole system so will probably use one of those little inline sureflo pumps which are < 5 gpm once I convince myself that I absolutely "need" a shower---which is most likely.Dave Tinder

Re: Shower

Dave,
Agree on bypassing the pressurized system.  I do want a switch in the cockpit, so needs to be weatherproof.
