When this site was designed, longer ago than I care to remember, one of the criteria was to minimize the page load so that people on dial-up connections would find the site at least usable. Recently I read that 90% of US adults are now on some form of high-speed internet and it's higher in Canada.
Before I start making changes based on an assumption that all C&C 27 owners are on high-speed (changes that may happen slowly and probably not soon), I'd like to know if anyone actually is stuck on dial-up (and don't be shy about admitting it - it's usually the telco's fault for not making it available).

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm still on dial up, can't do much about it unlesss I'm, willing to change providers and that means revising all of my stationary and notifying all of my contacts and links, what a pain in the you know what.
So here I am stuck with slow speed, not something I'm used to.
