Has anyone moved the main traveler to the cabin top?

I have not moved the traveller to the cabin top, but I have rigged to use a twin tackle setup when cruising. This setup uses the vang for one tackle and the mainsheet tackle for the other. Pad eyes are set on the cabin top about a foot out from the edge of the turtle and backed with stainless plates. So far it works fine and has stood up to some rough treatment.

Our boat came with a coach head traveller.

Any idea who made it or how? And what does it look like from inside the cabin, in regards to backing plates. The stress must be intense.
Thanks

No idea who made it. There is a 1/4" stainless steel backing plate. No sign of any stress fractures or problems, so it is well bedded.
