Black goo

I am an new owner of a 73 MK II and would like some advice from more experinced owners.  I have black goo that is coming out of holes in the inner liner.and dripping on the cushions  I assume that it is mildew.  Am I correct and if so what is the best way to solve the problem.

Re: Black goo

If this is the same construction as the Trapper 500 (the British cousin to C&C27) this stuff only leaks when it's hot and is to do with the join toerail join to between inner/oouter moulding.
