Custom Genoa for Mark V

Custom sail
genoa (jib)                                                  $ 1,500 Canadian
unused condition
built by Shore Sails (usa)
spider cut – mylar & dacron
seams double taped
bronze hanks to forestay
266 sq ft
luff           34 ft
leech          32 ft 10"
foot          16 ft
(fits c&c 27 - mk 6 )

The spider cut was developed specifically for performance racing sails and will give your boat an edge. The advantage of  the spider  cut is that the load bearing threads are aligned with the loads on the sail. The spider cut sail will hold its optimum design shape longer as the wind builds and as the sail ages.
The sail combines 2 different Dacron / Mylar fabrics that minimize stretch and hold sail shape well. Heavier fabric in the leach, head and clew; with lighter fabric in the luff, tack and foot makes for a strong but light sail. Chafe patches, double taped load bearing seams and taped edges make for a fast durable and good looking sail.
