Mk III/Mk IV anchor wellLate Mk III and all Mk IV's gained a much appreciated feature, a self-draining anchor locker. The Mk IV bow casting integrated the fairleads and a bow roller. Also note the toerail-mounted stanchion bases. These open up deck space considerably, plus their mounting holes are both fewer and do not pass through core material. Their inboard leg, however, often causes deck cracks. The standard repair is a piece of stainless placed under the leg. |
