Old and new 27 rudders

C&C stretched the 27's stern by 6.5", to almost 28 feet overall, giving a more finished point of attachment to the foil and increasing cockpit space.

One owner who changed his Mk II's rudder for a Mk III rudder commented that the change delivered its most significant improvements in a blow. Weather helm dropped to manageable levels and there was much less tendency to broach under a chute.
