Hull 42 on its cradle

The mid-sections of the various Marks are very similar, so Escapade, hull no. 42, sits on the same size cradle as Towser, number 950. Escapade is well forward in the cradle so the leading edge of her keel is on the centre pad, unlike Towser, whose forward pad is just in front of the keel. This is only because Escapade has through-hull intakes with external strainers and the pads cannot bear on these.
