I would like to refinish my interior teak. My boat was built in 1972 and I don't think it has been done previously. At some locations there has been water intrusion that caused the wood to sort of bleach out and appear lighter than the surrounding wood. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? Should I stain the light areas prior to applying the oil finish? Does the teak oil help make the overall appearance more uniform?
Thanks for any suggestions.
