I have a Mark V with a Yanmar 1GM10.  My throttle and my gear shift no longer operate independently.  For example, when I move the gear handle from neutral to reverse, the throttle comes back with it and can cause the engine to die.  It's fine if I hold the throttle in position, but I'm a single hander and usually work these controls with my foot.  Any suggestions on how to adjust the controls?

Thanks,
Lynn M.

Brent,

Nice video!

I've singlehanded with my cruising chute.  For self steering, I've been using the stick and string method.  It works fairly well when the sails are trimmed correctly.

I'm still halfway looking for a used Mark V spinnaker.

I was searching the Bacon's used sail inventory and found this:

Luff  34'1"

Foot 19'6"

Would the Spin Max Girth of 18.4 be the same as the foot measurement?

This sounds a little big.  Does anyone know of a better place to look for used sails than Bacon's?

Thanks,

Original Lynn

After years of crewing for someone else, I'm thinking of turning my boat into a Wednesday night racer.  All I lack is a spinnaker.  The previous owner liked the spinnaker so much, he kept it to cut down for his new J/22.  Does anyone have a spinnaker they might consider selling?
