No, I wouldn't alter my current headsail, it's ripped but repairable so I'll repair and keep it for interim use. My working jib and main are also old and in need of replacement due to duct-taped rips and lack of tear strength so I am looking into ordering new sails, This is just part of my research, you know, shall I go from hank-on to furling at this point?
My forestay is the original.
