The C&C 27 2012 Ontario Championships will again be run as part of the Nepean One Design Regatta on the week-end of June 23-24. The Nepean One-Design Regatta is a fun-filled, action-packed event which traditionally takes place over a weekend in June. Hosted by the Nepean Sailing Club in Ottawa, this two day regatta is held on Lac Deschenes and is open to multiple keelboat and dinghy classes including C&C 27. The One-Design races provide close and exciting races on a course that allows several races to be run each day. This year we hope to have 10 C&C 27s from the Ottawa area competing for the Ontario Championship Trophy, and would also be delighted to see boats from Toronto or Montreal entered in the regatta - the club has two cranes that can be used for launching. We will also do our best to accommodate any individual C&C racers from out of town who would like to participate in the racing on one of the local boats. I would like to hear from anyone outside of the Ottawa area who is interested in racing in the C&C27 class at NoD this year- see http://nsc.ca/web2/nod/ . The 2-day June event - June 25-26 - is sanctioned by the Association which this year has created a new prize, the "C&C 27 Ontario Championship Trophy" for the overall winner. NoD is well supported by the local Ottawa C&C 27 fleet, but we are trying to grow the event and would love to see some racers from outside the Ottawa area. If you are interested in bringing your C&C27 to Ottawa, or perhaps racing on a donated boat, please let me know and I will do what I can to help.
